Overview

The Buddhist Circuit is one of India's most significant heritage trails, connecting sites associated with the life of Buddha and the spread of Buddhism. This educational tour offers students an immersive journey into Buddhism, ancient history, architecture, archaeology and the cultural heritage of India. The Buddhist Circuit is one of India's most important heritage journeys, covering Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Lumbini, Sravasti, Rajgir, Nalanda and Vaishali.

Best Time to Visit

October to March is highly recommended as the cooler months are ideal for students because the itinerary involves considerable outdoor walking and heritage-site exploration. November to February is excellent and particularly suitable for school groups visiting Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, Sarnath and Kushinagar. April to June is not recommended for most school groups because temperatures can become very high. July to September is possible, but monsoon conditions may affect road travel and outdoor sightseeing.
