Overview

Dehradun and Mussoorie are two of Uttarakhand's most popular destinations, offering a blend of natural beauty, colonial history, educational institutions and scenic landscapes. This educational tour offers students an opportunity to explore hill station culture, nature, geography, history and adventure. The major educational highlight is the Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun, a premier forestry research and education institution with a heritage campus and specialised museums.

Best Time to Visit

March to June is excellent with pleasant weather making this a popular period for school excursions and outdoor learning. September to November is highly recommended as post-monsoon landscapes are generally fresh and green, with comfortable conditions for sightseeing. December to February is good for winter experiences, although temperatures can be low and weather conditions should be monitored. July to August is less preferred for school groups because heavy rain can cause road disruptions, landslides and slippery conditions in the hills.
